Warranty & T&C's

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Pretoria Battery accepts no liability or responsibility for any consequential loss or damage caused directly or indirectly to the vehicle or components within the vehicle through the failure or defect of the battery.

All batteries carry a warranty for a period varying from 6 (six) to 36 (thirty-six) months depending on the type and application of the battery under normal use for defects in material and workmanship or as indicated on the invoice or markings on the battery and subject to the conditions stipulated hereunder and as revised from time to time.

The battery must be returned by the purchaser to the seller free of charge.

Once the required testing of the battery is completed as per requirements, the battery can be charged, replaced or refunded at the original purchase price in the sole discretion of the supplier or manufacturer.

CODITIONS AND CLAIM PROCEDURE:

1. Any battery testing lower than 12.6 volt (reading of a fully charged battery) will have to be charged back to 12.6 volt or higher if possible before testing can be done.

2. Any battery testing below 10.0 volt on return might be treated as abused or neglected.

3. Warranty starts from date of purchase, delivery or installation and not from repaired or replacement date.

4. Warranty is only applicable to original owner or purchaser of battery and original vehicle in which it was installed and tested.

5. Any battery bought over the counter and had been self-installed into any vehicle of which the alternator had not been tested within 7 days after installation by a Pretoria Battery Technician, will forfeit the warranty with immediate effect after 7 days.

6. Any claim is subject to the claims procedure as set from time to time by the supplier or manufacturer of the battery.

7. The warranty will automatically be null and void in the following cases:

7.1 Any battery outside its warranty term.
